Welcome to The Jewelettes Motown Big Band website!
The Jewelettes are a twelve piece Motown Big Band comprising of four top class vocalists, a three piece brass section, piano/keyboards, bass, drums, guitar and a wonderful female percussionist to complete this fantastic line-up. The bands wide range of instruments and voices allows them to faithfully reproduce the wonderful "Motown" sound of the early 60's, all live for you to enjoy. The band was formed to coincide with the celebration of Motown's 50th anniversary, which is ongoing throughout this year. The Jewelettes Motown Big Band have put together some of the greatest Motown hits ever recorded for your listening pleasure. Hits from artist's such as Diana Ross, The Supremes, The Marvelettes, The Velvetettes, Gladys Knight & The Pips, Martha Reeves & The Vandellas and many more. These songs are taken mainly from the time that Berry Gordy founded the Motown label in 1959 up until he moved the organisation from Hitsville in Detroit to L.A. in 1972.
"The Motown Show" performed by The Jewelettes Motown Big Band, brilliantly encompasses song and music performance with beautifully crafted choreography, artist dedications and breathtaking lighting and visuals along with a superb stage set. The Jewelettes have captured all the magic and nostalgia from this much loved period in music history. A big thank you to all those who turned out to see The Jewelettes Motown Show despite the inclement weather, at the Pavilion Theatre in Dunlaoghaire on Sunday 22nd November. For those who couldn't make it, don't worry as there will be more show dates announced in the very near future. Look forward to seeing you all again soon!

Fancy dancing your socks off this Christmas to the sounds of the Motown era? Well then, this Christmas you're in for a treat as The Jewelettes Motown Big Band will be performing at the City North Hotel, Gormanston, Co. Meath on the 5th and 18th December. Tickets for both nights are available from the City North Hotel from €49 per person. Tickets priced 15.00 euro are currently on sale for The Jewelettes show in Whites of Wexford on Friday 16th October. Tickets are availble to purchase from the hotel front desk or by calling (053)9174215. Alternatively, tickets can also be purchased directly from Mohair Productions by calling 086 3581224. Tickets will also be on sale on the night. Doors will be at 9pm.

A big thank you to all those who came to The Jewelettes Motown Shows in both Draiocht and The Mill theatres. Both nights were fantatsic, with the sold out crowds enjoying all the classic Motown hits from "Diana Ross", "Stevie Wonder", "Martha Reeves & The Vandellas" and many more. Pictures from both nights will be available to view shortly on both Myspace and Bebo. Hope to see you back there in the near future!
