The Jewelettes are an eleven piece Motown Big Band comprising of three top class vocalists, a three piece brass section, piano/keyboards, bass, drums, guitar and percussion which completes this fantastic line-up. The bands wide range of instruments and voices allows them to faithfully reproduce the wonderful "Motown" sound of the early 60's, all live for you to enjoy. The band are available to hire for all types of events; from weddings and birthdays to corporate and private functions. The band was formed to coincide with the celebration of Motown's 50th anniversary, which took place throughout 2009. The Jewelettes Motown Big Band have put together some of the greatest Motown hits ever recorded for your listening pleasure. Hits from artist's such as Diana Ross, The Supremes, The Marvelettes, Gladys Knight & The Pips, Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, The Jackson 5, The Four Tops, Stevie Wonder and many more. These songs are taken mainly from the time that Berry Gordy founded the Motown label in 1959 up until he moved the organisation from Hitsville in Detroit to L.A. in 1972.
"The Motown Show" performed by The Jewelettes Motown Big Band, brilliantly encompasses song and music performance with beautifully crafted choreography, artist dedications and breathtaking lighting and visuals along with a superb stage set. The Jewelettes have captured all the magic and nostalgia from this much loved period in music history. "The Story of Motown" shows in the Olympia Theatre are almost upon us. This fantastic, not-to-be-missed show will becoming to the Olympia Theatre next week (July 29th, 30th, 31st) for a special 3 night run.
The show features performances from a female trio, singing the hits of Motown legends such as The Supremes, The Vandellas and The Marvellettes and a male quartet, performing hits from artists such as The Temptations, The Four Tops and The Jacksons.

Following the phenomenal success of "The Story of Motown" in the Olympia Theatre, Dublin on Saturday 8th May, the show will be returning to the Olympia for a very special 3 night run in July - Thursday 29th, Friday 30th and Saturday 31st... It will also becoming to a venue near you soon, so watch this space!
The show featured performances from a female trio, singing the hits of Motown legends such as The Supremes, The Vandellas and The Marvellettes and a male quartet, performing hits from artists such as The Temptations, The Four Tops and The Jacksons. The show took the Olympia by storm on the night with a standing ovation provided to the performers by the sold-out crowd.

The Jewelettes are delighted to announce that the brand new, “The Story of Motown” show is coming to the Olympia Theatre, Dublin for one very special night on Saturday 8th May. The Story of Motown show will feature all the classic hits from the much-loved Motown period of music history.
The show will see performances from female trio, The Jewelettes and male quartet, The Detroits who between them, will recreate the hits and moves of The Supremes, The Temptations, Martha & The Vandellas, The Four Tops, The Marvelettes, The Jackson 5, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and Smokey Robinson & The Miracles to name but a few. Both vocal groups will be backed by the amazing 8 piece Motown Big Band. The show has also been authentically choreographed, under the directorship of Missouri born Mr. Kyle Kennedy who also lends his charisma to the role of M.C. for the evening. The show also features a wonderful stage-set with excellent stage lighting and visuals.

A big thank you to all those who turned out to see The Jewelettes Motown Show despite the inclement weather, at the Pavilion Theatre in Dunlaoghaire on Sunday 22nd November.
